Bridge between World - NFT project

The complexity of the present time seems to demand an awakening of our dreams if we are going to survive.

We are at a crossroads of intuition and desire. Humankind has nothing to lose. Throughout history, humans have been interacting with the universe via electrical impulses in our optic nerve

Art is deeply inspired by and abstracted from the rhythms of patterns I see in nature around me. Light and shadow play and intricate dance that creates subtle and profound shifts in colour and texture in the natural world.

In meditation and plant medicine we look to articulate the levels of the world which remain hidden from our consensus, sanctioned reality and yet continue their shifting and sliding between the worlds

. If I have to put it into a nutshell, I would ask the question “Can art be made that helps restore the harmony and balance to the damaged psyche of the Western mind?” and open self-reflection to encourage a questioning into the direction that we’re going collectively?

About

In the Spring of 2020, for want of something better to do, I turned my thoughts towards a more functional direction for my Artwork. From it’s conceptualisation, through its development, and right up until it’s final editing, the diary project has been both a learning curve and a pleasure.

NFTs and a new direction for art

Non-Fungible Tokens, or nft for short is a new way for artists to exhibit and sell their work using block-chain technology and Web3.  Simply analysed, an image is uploaded to a secure block-chain address, where all transactional processes are then recorded, re: price, sales, and ownership

Personally, I find it quite exciting as a potential direction, certainly for digitally made artwork.   I’ve been exploring this world since the late 90s and find new media art a really interesting avenue to add to my sketchbook.

Initially I got involved with Adobe tools for formatting and layout purposes for some publicity material i worked on for BFS and Knockengorroch festival.  The MSc I enrolled in in ’99 soon lead me into exploring photoshop and after effect…  the rest is history.
